Stay up to date on all of the great things happening here at the Centre. There are a variety of special classes you can register for that are offered monthly. We also have weekly classes. Come to get some exercise or give the kids a little play time. Walk-ins are welcome for weekly classes.

Be sure to check out our events. Music night is every second Friday of the month and we're always adding monthly events. We hope to see you soon!

On Going Classes

  • Preschool Story Time and Playdate

      Tuesdays @ 10:30 am for preschoolers ages 2-5 - Free The Centre is pleased to announce a preschool story time and playdate program.  Dreama Drema Foley will lead story, songs, crafts and then play time with friends.     Thursdays at 11:30 - Free The Wellness Coalition brings their Chair Aerobics to Spencer Penn. This has been a popular program for over 7 years. Chair aerobics is an excellent program for those who want to improve their strength and cardio but have physical restrictions. Work with bands and weights while sitting. Special Scheduled Classes

  • Loom Crochet

    Saturday, March 10, 9am to 12 noon, Clyde Holland instructor.  Students will make a stocking hat using loom crochet.  All materials and loom provided.  Cost is $10/member and $15/non-member.  Must pre-register by March 5th.

  • Beginner’s Crochet: All Season Scarf

    Join us February 24 at 9 a.m. for a beginner's crochet class. Amy Register will guide the class through an all season ruffle scarf. Cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. All supplies will be furnished. Call the Centre to register!

  • Acrylic Painting Class

    Painting Saturday, April 7th, Noon to 3 pm. Instructor Teedgra Blackstock will teach an acrylic painting class. This is a three hour class and everyone doesn’t have to paint the same picture. Cost is $30, supplies are provided. Must pre-register, call 276-957-5757.

  • Basket Making Class

    Saturday, February 17, 9am to 1pm Learn the ins and outs of basket weaving at our featured basket making class. Creativity welcomed and encouraged. Make a beautiful basket to take home! Cost $25-$40 depending on the basket. .

    Come out an enjoy a full evening of live music starting at 5:30pm. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes.   • 7th Annual Pig Cookin’ Contest

    Saturday, April 14th 2018, 11am to 4pm. The place to be on the second Saturday in April is at the Pig Cookin’ Contest at Spencer Penn Centre!
