| Born from a rich heritage in education since 1927, The Spencer-Penn Centre continues to stand proudly in the community in a service capacity. Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, concerned citizens formed a non-profit corporation (SPSPO) and bought Spencer-Penn Elementary School from Henry County after consolidation of schools necessitated its' closing. After receiving National Historical status, the oldest part of the building is being renovated back to its' 1927 condition. Plans are to provide a site for wedding receptions, banquets, classes, shoppes, antique sales, exercise areas, and sporting events. The building's possibilities are endless. All of this, naturally, takes funds. Fundraisers are presently under way. We invite you to browse the "Current Events" pages along with the other links about our facility.
