Spencer Penn School Pre-exempt, 501c(3), status as of August 31, 2005. This means that any and all donations to The Spencer-Penn Centre can be counted as a tax-exemption on federal tax returns. Donations can be done in several ways. We accept and appreciate any amount but amounts of $1000 and up will be recognized on our "Wall of Honor". The Platinum Award is for donations of $5000 and up; the Gold Award is for amounts of $3000-4999; the Silver Award is for amounts of $2000-2999; and the Bronze Award is for amounts of $1000-1999. "In Memory" donations will be recognized on the plaque. These donations will be sued by the Organization for expenses, repairs and renovations. Donations can also be made for the privilege of naming a room. This type of donation will be used to renovate the desired room and will be named as requested by the donor, pending approval by the Board. On November 5, 2005, the library was named The Charles and Rose Hylton Library and the conference (meeting) room and the technology room have been named The George Burton Conference Room and The Roy Stone Technology Room, respectfully. Also the Louise Lester Banquet Hall, and the Stanley Bowles 1927 Room have been donated. The Multipurpose Room has been named "Alumni Hall" and a $1000 donation will put your loved one's name on the plaque. Different rooms, because of their expense of renovations, will cost different amounts. Classrooms can be donated for $10,000; the catering Kitchen for $20,000. It will be very unique to refer to a room as "The ______ Room" instead of Room 12. What a wonderful way to honor a family member or a class or a former student/faculty member of the school!! Business donations of $1000 or more will be on the "Wall of Honor" and will also be published on our web page and newsletters for an entire year. Pledges will also be accepted. The Spencer-Penn Centre thanks you for your support. Please contact any Board Member is you have any questions. We also conduct a Music Night each month on the second Friday night. Open jam session is at 5:30 with concessions open with the "best" hotdogs, BBQ and desserts found anywhere. Admission is free but donations are accepted and NEEDED to help pay for the renovation of the historic building. Another fantastic bi-annual event is the Giant Gym Sale Last Friday and Saturday in March "Let the tradition continue" |
